Lahontan State Recreation Area & Corrosion Control Hangar

Water System Improvements

Lahontan State Recreation Area: This project consisted of installing a water-treatment system that treated water from spring-wells for public use. D&D Plumbing acted as the general contractor on this project and oversaw the installation of the building, the electrical work and the control work. Of course D&D did all of the mechanical work, including the installation of all piping, filters, pumps, chlorine contact chamber, chlorine injection pumps, flow meters and associated equipment. Below is a picture of the completed chemical treatment building.

Corrosion Control Hangar

Naval Air Station Fallon, Nevada: This project consisted of installing numerous plumbing and mechanical systems. The hangar is used to wash and clean Navy jets. D&D was responsible for the installation of:
  • Atlas Copco air compressors, air dryers, air piping and air hoses
  • An Aerco water heater, Weil booster pumps, water piping and water hoses
  • An industrial waste system with secondary containment piping, oil/water separator and a sump system
  • And all domestic plumbing systems
D&D’s expertise with mechanical/control systems allowed them to work directly with the mechanical engineer on the job and solve many of the original design flaws.
